Snicker Doodles

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 1/4 cup flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon cream of tartar
  • cinnamon and sugar combined

Directions

  1. Preheat oven 400 degrees.
  2. Cream butter and sugar. Add eat egg and beat until light and fluffy.
  3. Sift dry ingredients together and add to creamed mixture. Stir until just blended. Refrigerate for 1 hour.
  4. Roll dough into walnut size balls. Roll into cinnamon and sugar mixture. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 10 minutes. Cool on wire rack.
  5. Makes 24 cookies.
